1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Centauri Fulcrum, LLC ("Centauri Fulcrum," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Anti-Hackathon public education event and the website located at antihackathon.com (the "Site"). It applies to visitors of the Site and to anyone who submits information to us through it.

This policy does not cover information collected offline at the physical Anti-Hackathon event itself except where noted in the Event Photography & Media section, nor does it cover third-party websites we may link to, which have their own privacy practices.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

The Site's contact form is the only place we intentionally collect personal information. If you use it, we collect your name, email address, the topic of your inquiry, and the content of your message. You choose what to include in your message, and we ask that you not submit sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account information, or health information) through the form.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs limited technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the date and time of your visit — for security, fraud-prevention, and site-operation purposes. We do not use this information to build a profile of you.

Information we do not collect

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, we do not set tracking cookies, we do not require account creation, and we do not process any payment or financial information through the Site.

3. How We Use Information

• To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form (general questions, partnership or sponsorship interest, speaking inquiries, volunteering, and press/media requests);
• To maintain the security, integrity, and normal technical operation of the Site;
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK & Similar Jurisdictions)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that requires a stated legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on the following:

• Consent — when you voluntarily submit information through our contact form;
• Legitimate interests — for maintaining the security and proper functioning of the Site, in a way that does not override your rights and freedoms.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Site does not use cookies, web beacons, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers of any kind. Because we do not track visitors across sites or over time, "Do Not Track" browser signals have no effect on the Site, as there is nothing to opt out of.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the Site, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

• Web3Forms — processes and delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. The information you enter into the form is transmitted through Web3Forms' systems solely to complete that delivery. See Web3Forms' privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the Site. Loading these fonts causes your browser to request font files from Google's servers, which may log standard request data (such as IP address). See Google's privacy policy.

We do not permit these providers to use your information for their own independent marketing purposes.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only:

• To the service providers described above, solely to operate the Site;
• If required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process;
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Centauri Fulcrum, Anti-Hackathon, our visitors, or the public;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections continuing to apply.

8. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions only as long as reasonably needed to respond to and resolve the inquiry, or as needed for our internal recordkeeping and legal compliance, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Visitors & Data Transfers

The Site is operated from, and information is processed and stored in, the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your home jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer, to the extent consent is the appropriate legal mechanism for doing so.

11. Children's Privacy

Anti-Hackathon is a family-friendly public event, but the Site itself is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us through the Site, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided us with personal information may contact us using the details in the Contact Us section below.

12. Event Photography & Media

Photos and videos taken at Anti-Hackathon events may be used on this Site and in related promotional materials. As a matter of practice, we do not feature identifiable images of children's faces in Site photography — any child visible in event photos used on the Site has been blurred. If you attended an event and would like a photo of yourself reviewed or removed from the Site, contact us using the details below.

13. Your Privacy Rights

All visitors

Regardless of where you live, you may contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request that we delete it, using the details in the Contact Us section.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction of that information, and to opt out of the sale or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may exercise your other rights by contacting us as described below; we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom & Switzerland

If applicable data protection law gives you these rights, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal information, request that we restrict or object to certain processing, and request a portable copy of information you provided to us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Other U.S. states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws generally have similar rights to know, access, correct, and delete their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information — neither of which we engage in. You may exercise any applicable rights by contacting us below.

Florida residents

The Florida Digital Bill of Rights applies to certain large businesses; Centauri Fulcrum does not currently meet the applicable thresholds, but we extend the same access, correction, and deletion practices described above to all Florida residents regardless.

14. Marketing Communications

If you ask to be notified about future Anti-Hackathon events, we will only use your email address for that purpose. Any such email will identify Centauri Fulcrum as the sender and include a clear way to unsubscribe, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. You may also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at the address below.

We've written this policy in plain language and built this page to work with screen readers and keyboard navigation. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
